Got it for Xbox 360 yesterday. I like it overall. Not sure why they only let racers upgrade their car's performance. The C63 AMG cop car would be wicked when upgraded. It needs help in the traction and control department primarily; it's pretty speedy already.
Due to the lack of customization of police vehicles, I defected to the racer side. Fell in love with the Cayman S. Upgraded it to my standards, then did the same with the M3 GTS. A head to head comparison was inevitable. Test notes: I fully upgraded acceleration and control on both, and upgraded top speed once on the M3 (just to see how much top-end I'd get. Got about 20 mph, which isn't a bad deal for a mere 10,000 Speed Points, with no loss in acceleration!). Now for a Head 2 Head! -Cayman S is quick, decently grippy, and nimble. Tends to be a bit tail happy, owing to its rear engine, rear wheel drive layout. It lacks top speed. It's a fun car to get used to the driving dynamics with. It can get skittish at 10/10ths intensity driving though. -M3 GTS is a bit slower off the line than the Cayman S, but it enjoys a higher top speed. M3 has more understeer, especially mid-corner. M3 will also understeer sooner and harder if you enter a corner too fast. But the M3 has noticeably better grip, especially in high and medium speed turns. It's not as eager to kick its tail out as the Cayman S is. The M3 GTS inspires confidence when you drive it, no matter what condition. Even at the limit, the M3 GTS is composed and confident. The same cannot be said for the Cayman S. |
