Well I have a ton of NFS HS cars other than the Holden sourced Caprice based civilian & police models. I have made a vector light bar version of Nil's CHP Corvette C5, a replacement for EA's pursuit vette, plus a fully upgradable version of Nils' C5, I also made a remake of EA's Police Caprice based on his traffic police caprice, & a 2011, 2012, and 2013 unmarked Caprice PPV for this site to have unmarked Caprice PPVs as well. Credits go to Nils for his original cars you are the best Nils at making good cars for NFS HS & NFS in general. As for the unmarked Caprices for 2011 & 2013 they will have 7 colors in their tgas while 2012 will have 8 since the fact Hugo Blue is only with the 2012 & 2013 models since it was introduced in 2012 while Mirage Gold Metallic was discontinued for 2013 which makes it a 2011 & 2012 only color at the same time the reason for spotlights for 2012 & 2013 was because the spotlight option wasn't available on the 9C3 in 2011 & didn't come out until 2012 which like the 2 colors I mentioned makes it a unique feature to these model years. Of course if you wanted to could switch those colors out by renaming them CAR00.TGA to suit your needs before replacing the default color which is XJ220 yellow its the nickname I have come up with for the yellow that he uses for his base models lol! also be sure to back that one up & rename it CAR00Original.tga. Plus the Caprices also include a scratch made Viper S2 interior lights from Federal Signal since I was inspired by the caprices in unmarked form from the Caprice test drive video that holden has on their youtube channel & a customized license plate to prove that these are exclusive to this site. Plus the Unmarked Caprices will also have Blue & Red lights flashing at the top of the headlights in the housings. As for the upgradable C5 Corvettes they will come later on plus all of my versions of the C5 coup come with a modified EA Corvette dash which I made originally for my old pursuit c5 coupe & a Xentek's C5 coupe as well. This thread will also cover conversions to Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit as well too.

How about giving each of the unmarked Caprices a different state's plate? All with the same text of course. Would look a tad cooler IMO wink.png

Alright Nils something like this? Though I made these cars to be generic unmarked cars for our unmarked/undercover section. My unmarked PPVs will have this customized PA license plate due to the fact I'm from PA.

Ok the Unmarked PPV 9C3s are finished & released. I discovered on my memory card & I thought I lost it when I did a system purge but I didn't since it was finished & ready for release my replica of the WM Caprice based civilian Caprice LS from the Middle East. The last civilian GM variants with help from Nils will be the Caprice LTZ & Royale which I also ended up saving after all & the Holden WM Statesman as for the limo variants of the Statesman & Caprice V I will be on my own with those.

Everyone here is one of my latest W.I.Ps the 1995-2001 Chevrolet Lumina base sedan based off of Serge's lumina 9c3 originally for need for speed hot pursuit 2 which I had Nils convert to High Stakes. The differences between the police spec 9C3 & the civilian spec base sedan include are that the 9C3 like the LTZ has the quad exhaust pipes while the base sedan only has one, the base sedan & ls have bench seats while the 9C3 had recaro bucket seats. I also have BoxCarRacer to credit for the wheel covers from his NYPD lumina which was the only lumina remake that Dodge Boy made for High Stakes before moving to Hot Pursuit 2.

Here's another W.I.P. that I have been working on between the Lumina, & Impalas which I will start as soon as I can. Yes the Caprice is used as a Limo in Australia I did my own version based on the WM Caprice V the driver will look different after I finish his outfit, plus this limo will come with extra seats, plus a rack with 3 bottles of wine, a rack for dvds, a refrigerator, & cabinet which will be textured against a label, along with dvd player & tv. Credits to Nils again for his Caprice PPV base which I converted to WM Caprice V & I modified my Caprice V into this Limo you all see.

Now that's... long. Can you even use it on every HS track? Must have a turning circle like an airplane. The interior details you describe should be a nice touch smile.png

By the way, did you alter the fog-lights? They look better now IMO.

It should Nils I mean Serge did a 97 Lincoln Town Car limo out of his Town Car sedan so it should work. If Serge did a limo based on his town car before & it worked the same would also apply to this Caprice limo. Other wise unlike Serge's limo which he didn't bother to make his driver into a chauffeur my limo will have the driver as the chauffeur. About the fog lamps yes did I actually redid them before I released the Caprice SS & Caprice V & thanks.

In addition to the Caprice V limo as well as the civilian versions of our HS bases I have repainted my unmarked Caprice 9C3 PPVs in pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month. I thought about these cars in pink after I got word of one of the mothers I know from the cheer gym where I'm part of its special needs team at is battling breast cancer so I decide because of her & also because of this month to do pink versions of my Caprices.

Don't you think you could spread the awareness a bit more subtly? The idea is great, but the color hurts my eyes.

Ok here is an update on the WM Caprice V limo's progress I did shorten a bit & finished the interior. Before anyone says its a track its not because 3 of the pics are renderings which were an attempt at making a vidwall for the limo I downloaded the backgrounds off of the web, imported into zmodeler & moved the car around to make it look it was on the road.

Here is what I promised to Phil that I finish the car that I originally requested from him. I also added a State Trooper which is from Nils' 96 traffic Caprice replacement modified to look like a Delaware State Trooper. I also took the liberty to make the car's scheme more accurate since the car is really blue not black. I did the best I could with the stripe also with help from Paul as well too. I managed to make the Valor lightbar which I will add to the vehicle later on. Also unlike when this car was first attempted the flex fuel nameplate & chevy bowtie on the trunk have been deleted from the car I will add the license plates later on.

I fixed the door logo after you pointed that out thanks & about the blue its accurate since its Hugo Blue the same color that is included with my 2012 & 2013 Unmarked Caprice PPVs. Nils I also built a Federal Signal Valor lightbar too for this car & any other car that uses it too.

I beg to differ. Whether it's Hugo Blue or not, unless http://policecarwebsite.net/fc/statepdcars/del.htm are totally off (which I doubt considering the colors in them look okay overall), it should be much, much darker. I have yet to see a photo on which the color looks remotely as bright as yours.

But perhaps you have other photos as a reference? In that case, you could easily come up with two versions wink.png

Now that I look at the pictures of the real car again I think it's more of a dark greyish blue; doesnt look like Hugo Blue to me. Does anybody have a paint code? Everything else on the car looks sweet tho Louis smile.png

Yes it does & I have a picture that I ripped from the 2013 Chevrolet Police vehicle brochure. See where it says Hugo Blue color 11 its a Caprice color only just like Heorn White, Alto Gray, Red Hot, Karma Metallic, & Phantom Black.

Well it was my plan to make some more civilian variants of our bases for the purpose of having a civilian counterpart go with its police counterpart. Plus there aren't too many Lumina based police cars on this site either I think a remake of the NYPD Lumina is needed for High Stakes Nils. The one that is here is based on Serge's never released Lumina base which he also likely used to remake the car for Hot Pursuit 2 he gave it to BoxCarRacer to make that NYPD Lumina.

Here's the latest creation for Louis' High Stakes Garage the 2008 Tahoe LS 2WD version. Credits go to Nils for the original base his Tahoe PPV, Taho for ripping the Cadillac Escalade from 4x4 Hummer which is where I got the antenna from, & Alexey for ripping the the Tahoe from GM Rally which is where I got the luggage rack from.

Once Nils sends me the rims I will put them on the SUV & post pics of the finished SUV in the game. I also started doing a Suburban LS out of the Tahoe LS & when the Suburban is done then we can do police Suburbans in addition to the civilian variant. I also decided that the Tahoe LS will also had a 4x4 variant included in the viv.

Posted by: CVPI19 Nov 22 2013, 12:42 AM
Here's the Suburban LS' WIP as promised everyone I stretched the Tahoe's rear out including the interior, etc. The reason why the badge is white for this shot is due to not having a Suburban badge made for the textures as of yet, & its assigned to the default material to avoid showing the Tahoe badge.

Ok Nils & everyone here's another Tahoe but in PPV form for our generic collection. Its inspired by EA's police SUV & no it will not replace it due to it being to high poly to replace the traffic police vehicle. Also here's the LS with the Rims which I thank Nils so much for building for me all that's left is the damage to the body, then conversion, colors, etc & testing then a release for these sweet SUVs.

The star on the rear of the generic Ranger version should be half as wide. I personally would move it to the left or right of the hollow for the license plate.

The LS looks pretty cool. Did you mirror the hubcaps' mapping for the wheels on the right side?

I did that intentionally since the original SUV does not have a license plate I also used the Star from your replacement blazer as the base for it. I also did that replicate the way the star is on the original too.

Why yes I did all that's left are damage, conversion, colors, & testing as for the Suburban I will modify the nameplate label to be long enough to support the Suburban badge texture & then mask it.

I'd at least correct the aspect ratio of that star, looks awful this way IMO. I think the design is what's matters here not the lack of quality of EA's traffic cars. You do not use a generic lightbar like EA for the same reason, I guess wink.png

Ok Nils I did what you said & realized that I had to also move the wheel well too so I did that as well, redid the rear doors after moving the rear wheel wells, stretched out the interior, and added a 3rd row seat which can be removed with the convertible option. The same 3rd row seating is also available for the Tahoe LS too & once I make the Suburban badging texture then it will be ready for NFS HS.

Much better!

Two things, though:

a ) I'd re-add the tint for the rear windows as it looks quite bland without it. Plus, how many SUVs you see driving around with clear windows only?

b ) You forgot to copy one texture that belongs to the LS rims. Was pretty surprised now that I compared the photo to your Suburban's screenshots that my work looked so inaccurate.

Thanks it took looking at pics of the Suburban like you said to & when its done I was hoping maybe you could do a pursuit version one day after you get the HD Caprice out of the way as well as your pursuit version with countries from different countries. I thought you could do a Tahoe the same way with the different liveries from the different countries too along with this Suburban & your Caprice.

a ) I'd re-add the tint for the rear windows as it looks quite bland without it. Plus, how many SUVs you see driving around with clear windows only?

Already fixed that on not just the Suburban but also the Tahoes including the PPV, & SSV I will post pics of that later I corrected that after reading your post.

b ) You forgot to copy one texture that belongs to the LS rims. Was pretty surprised now that I compared the photo to your Suburban's screenshots that my work looked so inaccurate.

What do you mean by that I'm pretty sure that I copied each texture for that rim onto my TGA but do point it out to me what I left out I had to relocate the texture due to the fact I placed the GM logo texture in the spot where you placed the texture originally on the TGA that you sent to me with the rim.

Up to you. The problem I see here is that you now see that the wheel is hollow as the inward wall of the rim is not there. Might want to add it. I left it away and made the holes opaque to keep the polycount down and because the holes are not that big – in my opinion. Views on this vary greatly.

Not really. It's just the fat even less mobile brother of the Tahoe for me. Pursuit Tahoe PPV will be my only project building on these SUVs.

Yeah you are right I think I will scrap the brakes later when I get back home.

The Suburban is used for police work in fact the Mexican police have them too but other wise they aren't used for high speed chases more like equipment transporting, crime scene investigation, etc.

Thanks & I will get back to the G8 & Camaro, when the G8 is done then its Commodore/Lumina (Middle East) conversion variants. The G8 GT & GXP use different performances than the Commodores, Luminas (Middle East), & Caprices since the Omega Commodore has a V6 engine let me know if you could help me out the performance files for these vehicles.

I know that it is being used for Police work just like Mack trucks but that doesn't make either very NFS-ish in my eyes. Not that the Tahoe was a sportscar but it's closer to being one than the Suburban, that's for sure.

So do all of these cars use the very same engine? If so, I don't think that the G8 GT and GXP will be much slower if at all than the Caprice PPV?

Well then I could do the pursuit Suburban with the schemes from your Pursuit Tahoe PPV if you are fine with me using those schemes for it as well as license plates, etc.

The G8 GT used the L76 V8 which was also used in the 2006 VZ Commodore & WK Statesman/Caprice, the Series I VE Commodore & WM Statesman/Caprice from 2006-2010 in addition to the 2006 Caprice & Lumina and 2007-2010 Caprice & Lumina from the Middle East, while the GXP used the same engine as the 2008-2013 Corvette C6 which was also used in the Series II HSV models as well & in the new VF Commodore based Chevrolet SS sedan. As for the V6 the one found in the Series II Commodore & V6 Caprice PPV its also used in the V6 Camaro & Chinese built Park Avenue variant as well. In other words the V8 engines different from the Series II Commodore & Caprice for the G8 GT & GXP.

In addition to the 2WD variants of the Tahoe LS & Suburban LS the 4wd or 4x4 variants will follow as seen here like with the Tahoe SSV which has its body raised this is the Tahoe LS 4wd/4x4 version.

Is the increased ground clearance really the only difference? Perhaps you could add something off-road-ish to distinguish one version from the other. Some additional headlights. A pushbar. Or dirt!

Yeah it is Nils also I will also do a Suburban Commerical for the staff to use as well.

Ok the Suburban is done but one of the things I had to do was fix the nameplate by making it more accurate to the real thing & so here it is. Now all that's left Nils is to make the vidwalls for the 4WD Tahoe & Suburban and then test them out. Then they will be released to the public as the site's latest civilian SUVs next to Nils' 96 Jeep Cherokee.

I'm going to do the vidwalls & I almost forgot about your 1995-2005 S-10 based Blazer too. BTW Nils I see that the 3rd generation Tahoe/11th generation Suburban took cues from the 1st generation Tahoe/9th generation Suburban because they remind me of the 1992-1999 models. I still have to do the colors for the Suburban but its safe to assume that the Tahoe & Suburban have the same colors. The Tahoe has 13 exterior colors, & 5 interior colors in real life which my model will have too.

Posted by: XJ220 Dec 10 2013, 06:45 AM
The distribution of lights is similar among all Tahoes, esp. of the headlights and their components.

And I too would be surprised should Chevy offer different colors for the Suburban than for the Tahoe.

Everyone the Tahoes are now available for downloading Merry Christmas this is my gift to everyone. The Suburbans will follow as soon as I add their colors to the models, add the specs to the Fedata files, & then test them out in the game the Tahoes come with an convertible option that allows you to remove or add the 3rd row seating this will also be on the Suburbans as well. Oh since I couldn't find good pics of the Tahoe or Suburban that I needed I took shots of them in Zmodeler to make into my scratch made vidwalls as you see in these shots.

Nils & everyone here's my latest work straight from Forza Motorsport 4 the Pontiac G8 GXP aka the Holden VE Commodore which this vehicle will made into such in the future in sedan, wagon, & ute form. The versions of the Commodore that will be made from this will be the Omega & SS trims from the Series II range. Nils when you make the G8 GXP into a pursuit vehicle I would love the Aussie markings to be from NSW also be sure to include it in the LAPD G8 GT as well. As for textures I modified those from Forza Motorsport 4 & Nils' Caprice PPV textures, speaking of the Caprice the mirrors, & door handles will be coming from the Caprice for this project. Once the HD PPV is done I will need G8 GT & VE Commodore SS Series II rims made as well for HS. Credits go to DMN from gaming models for extracting the original car files for this vehicle from the disc.

Nils & everyone everything is finished on the G8 GXP the next steps are to add its colors, make its vidwalls, & then test in the game. I finished the lights, added & modified the interior from the Caprice PPV to fit into & be accurate to the car, redid the car's indicator inserts, the interior & steering wheel ring will have 2 colors onxy, & onxy with red like the real car, added the modified version of the caprice driver from my caprice ss, & I also modified the rims & parts of the body further. Plus the reason the driver is not in this shot due to the fact the tga area where his hair is mapped for the color changing is messed up, along with parts of the interior but other wise in nfswizard & fcefinish its fine. But once finished this will be released & it will be onto the G8 GT especially since the LAPD prototype G8 GT will be done by Nils with different schemes for the other countries, then the Holden VE Commodore Series II Omega, Berlina, & SS in Sedan, Wagon, & UTE form, followed by the Middle Eastern Lumina line, & the Brazilian Omega Fittipaldi Edition sedan. Credits go to Nils for the original textures, driver, interior, door hollows, mirrors, & door handles, as well as dmn from gaming models for extracting this car from Forza Motorsport 4's disc.

Zmodeler 1.7 for one but the g8 was converted and modifed from Forza Motorsport 4. I used Forza Studio 4.1 to get the car, then exported the car to obj format, then imported into Zmodeler2.26, then exported to zmodeler 1.7, and modifed it.

Has anyone dreamt of having Nils' new Caprice PPV as a traffic car replacement but couldn't due to the fact the model was originally too high poly for that? Well after a week of working on them here are the low poly versions of Nils Caprice PPVs originally modified from LOD body D for Most Wanted. I also used the gas cap & wheels from his Blazer & modifed them to fit onto the car. I also made new light textures from pics of the HD Caprice, the same for the wheel textures too. I also made door hollows out of the low poly gas cap from the blazer too. So far the polies for the low poly 2011 Caprices are for the 9C1 its 2516 & for the 9C3 its 2534, for 2012-2013 the 9C1's polies are 2518 and the 9C3's are 2536. I also kept the original interiors from the medium poly Caprices too and for the lines I had to either draw new line textures, or take & modify the ones from the Blazer for this project. I also deleted the 3D center of the front bumper & make a texture for it & made new exhaust pipes too. Credits go to Nils (XJ220) for the original Caprice model, as well as parts & textures from his 98 Blazer. Traffic replacement versions of the Caprices will be coming soon on these models.

I must admit that this looks better than I expected at its polycount. Some details could use improvement - the headlights are a bit 'too 2D', the steering wheel on the other hand is too detailed for such a model.

Ok everyone here are the 2012 Caprice PPVs with the steel rims & wheelcovers and oh Nils after I read your post about my EA's Caprice remake I took your advice & went back & added that jetstream lightbar, but I also added the lights to the advisor like the original textured version had, replaced the bench seat with bucket seats due to the fact I added the same console, laptop, & partion that I took from my modern Caprices as well, readded the door moldings like the original, and last but not least added spotlights to also make a ton of differences/improvements over the original EA 95-96 Caprice 9C1. Once its finished & has been tested I will replace the existing the one that I already added & put it as V2 of the car.

Ok we soon will be able to make 2012-2013 Chevrolet Impala/2014-2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited Police Patrol Vehicles for High Stakes since I updated the 2006-2011 Impala which I originally made by Serge & I had Nils convert to High Stakes. I managed to make the wheelcover for the Impala 9C3s between 2012-2016, as well as the 17 inch steel rims used by the 9C1 between 2012-2016 as well. I modified the Caprice PPV's rim by remapping the holes from 20 to 16, I also rescaled it make it a 17 inch rim, I also made a color coded trunk trim for those years & moved the Impala nameplate to the trunk trim, and last but not least I also made the mesh grilles for the grille & front bumper as well as the new end caps too. In addition to the 2012-2016 updates I also managed to make the correct optional spoiler for the Impalas used between 2006 & 2008, and also added a tumbler lock to the truck which was also missing from the previous version of the base since it was introduced on the cars in 2008. Credits go to Serge for the original model, Nils converting to High Stakes, and the door handles, & rims from the Caprice PPV.

In between working on the interior for Caprice PPV LOD D & E for Most Wanted here's my latest project for NFS HS the others are on hold due to the work on the Caprice for Most Wanted. I present the 2000 Chevrolet Impala Sedan the base model of course coming soon will be the 2000 Impala LS & the 2005 Impala SS. Credits go to Dodge Boy aka Serge Drozd for making the original 8th generation WImpala model back in 2003, & Nils Jiter aka XJ220 for updating the car. Its a simple conversion of the 01-05 Impala 9C3 model that I made from Nils' 9C1 it has wood grain trim, 10 official exterior colors & 3 official interior colors, damage, & its only 4091 polies too.

In addition to doing cars for Need for Speed: High Stakes, Hot Pursuit 2, & Most Wanted I also have done cars for Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit in the past as well. Because once I get a new copy of the PC version of NFS III I will also be converting cars to that game too. In fact I already began with Nils' Corvette C5's 3 versions without the interiors, drivers, & the flags just like the way EA did it with default cars in the past for the purpose of replacing EA's default racer & pursuit corvette c5's. I managed to remake EA's Pursuit Corvette from the PC version as well as the PS1 version too thanks to Police911's textures from his High Stakes version because this began originally as a attempt to convert that car to NFS III. For the pursuit versions I took Nils' Code 3 MX500 lowered the polies on it, removed the transparent parts, & made textures for the lightbar for the purpose of polies of course. And I wouldn't forget the original versions of Nils (XJ220's) C5 Corvettes as well too. Unlike my replacement versions these aren't meant to replace either the racer or pursuit corvette c5s. To maintain the convertible top features on the coupe & convertible I fused those roofs to the headlights, and the interiors & drivers I fused them to the body. The same goes for the CHP Corvette as well and credits go to Nils for the original cars for Need for Speed: High Stakes & the Code 3 MX500 lightbar as well too. Now the replacement pursuit corvettes will be available to both players & a.i. as the cops as well as the PS1 version will also be available as a addon if you don't want to replace the default corvette with it.

I thought I remake this one using Nils' 993 911 turbo & RTK6 light its from the PS1 version of High Stakes. The French & British versions will follow soon and the French version will have its trademark red lights on the lightbar. Should I recreate all the NFS HS PS1 police cars well the American police cars including the American variant of the Diablo SV will have same the driver that drives the Corvette in the PC version, while the Australian variants of the M5 & Diablo SV will have the Aussie cop from the Pursuit HSV, & of course the British, & French variants of the M5, 911 Turbo, & Diablo SV will use the 911 Turbo's cop & German variants will have the same European Cop that drives the M5 in the PC version. The M5 & Diablo SV on the other hand in the future will be sourced from Forza Motorsport 4.

Thanks Nils some of the textures came from your pursuit 993 911 turbo and also for v3 of your original I modified the dash view to have the opening & closing top as well in addition to that I modified it to go with the British, French, & German variants of this car. Also speaking of the British version I mirrored the interior to be in RHD configuration the same with the dash view. Unlike the original PSX/PS1 versions these cars will have officers with real uniforms from their respected countries Paul suggested that I give the German cop drivers the uniform that German police forces used from from the 1970s until 2006 I give him credit for that. All the American police cars will be using the Corvette driver with a reproduction of the uniform that the cop driver in the PS1 version wore since it was a American police uniform. No cops will be coming out of the cars because instead the driver parts will be copied & fused together to make a OND part like in the PS1 version also this feature also allows to emulate the cops doing license plate checks, etc. Nils let me know when you have those HD civilian Caprice rims done for HP2/MW (2005) I made wheel textures for those vehicles already. Plus in the future I might release civilian variants of your 993 & C5 with the upgrades that similar to those in the PS1 version of High Stakes. For the Vette I modified the rims from Xentek's C5 to go with my NFS III replacement as well as replicas of the NFS HS PS1 corvette variants.

I wonder why the German cruisers in the PSX version are much more accurate lighting-wise... did EA confuse the French blue/amber combo for red?

Does the German cops also have the 12 point hat star badge? If not I understand as to make it look right you'd have to have a big pic of one and then use a texture editor to scale it and that would eat up alot of TGA space.

Nils what do you think of the improvement that I gave to my replica of the German Police 993 911 turbo from the PS1 version of High Stakes something that the original game lacked uniforms for Australia, France, Germany, & the UK and check your box for the info for the rims that I need for my hot pursuit 2/most wanted civilian hd caprices based on the Holden Caprice of course.

Considering the 993 is from then mid-nineties and newer, the uniform looks too old. I'd expect him to wear the black leather jacket instead of the green cloth version which is rather formal in comparison. http://www.infranken.de/storage/scl/ft/nachrichten/lokales/hassberge/1503906_m1w900v44747_31-34403708.jpg?version=1407938486 is an example. And since he's with traffic police, the upper part of the visor cap should be white as seen http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polizeiuniform_(Deutschland)#mediaviewer/File:Polizei_laser_messung.jpg.

Also... is it really necessary to quote such large posts? Doesn't improve legibility of the thread.

German cop looks great wink.png However the star goes higher up on the hat..Putting the star in the center near the visor was OLD style..They moved it up higher in about late 1970's- 1980's I'd say.

Very nice..Too bad the star don't show right when it's moved up, That's easy to fix though by pulling it away from the hat some (I get this problem sometimes when putting door handels onto cars that have none as a part but only on the TGA) As for you question..Yup they do. British version is like a Chicago police hat with a black/white checkerboard on the center part by the visor.

Badges vary by region but the most common is the crowned star with E||R in the center of the badge.

German cop looks much better now to me!

You're using the Pursuit Corvette driver, right? In my opinion, the driver of the original PP91 has a much nicer visor hat model, you might want to give that a try.

Visor caps seem to be pretty common for male British police officers, indeed. I am not sure about France, I found two interesting examples:

http://www.allauch.com/index.php5?id=2&page=police.html is definitely a traffic police officer, wearing a baseball cap. http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/France/North/Ile-de-France/Paris/photo30621.htm, wearing a visor cap, could also be with traffic police, though the white gloves look very formal. Still, it seems like he is controlling the traffic. Overall, it seems like they prefer baseball caps and sidecaps, though.

Posted by: Dark One Sep 10 2014, 05:43 AM
I remember (at least through the nineties and early 2k) visor hat being the common sight with french police, while side cap was more of CRS thing, and gendarmerie clinging to use of the kepi whenever possible. Only in the past ten years is the baseball cap everywhere, because police uniforms got less formal, but that trend is becoming apparent even here, with the municipal police.

Marty isn't CRS just the name for the organization that French Police are in? I seem to remember seeing on their decal that they had on the hood that the badge says POLICE and in the center is CRS. I'm thinking CRS is just the dept. police is in (like Russia has MVD)

Ha! I even learned in school that the CRS is a bit like our BePo, though I think they really focus on riots and violent demonstrations while the Bereitschaftspolizei also conducts grand-scale searching operations. In France, that might be the work of the Gendarmerie?

I see, is there a difference between the two drivers? Anyway, I think I might be using the head of the COP.FCE file myself so my comment about the PP91's driver is probably wrong anyway.

In addition to the 993 911 Turbo European police cars I also have begun on the 95-96 Caprice from the PS1 version. Credits to Nils for his original 1995-1996 Caprice as the base I admit the markings of this rendition of the car from the Playstation version looks good on this model. The markings are actual textures taken from the Playstation version because only the American police cars will have their actual markings from the Playstation version. Unlike the Playstation version's generic lightbar the closest to it real life is the Code 3 LP6000 which is what I used for this remake & damage will be similar to Nils' original damage since the Playstation model's damage would be too much since emulating the loss of the lightbars in the PC version leaves a bug which causes the lights to flash where the lightbar once stood & I will also resume the remake of EA's PC Caprice. The version I showed here back in May is a customized version but I will also make the one close to the original that includes removing the license plates, putting the bench seat back into the car as well with the removal of the bucket seats, laptop, console, spotlights, & partion as well. I forgot to say one I had to modify the hubcap texture from Nils' caprice to make it closer to the one use that the real Playstation Caprice used since its the same one that was on the Caprice from 1986-1990 & 1991-1993. Also Nils if you are reading this I ripped the sounds for the Caprice & Corvette from the PS1 version if you could I was hopping you could port these sounds into bnk files since I have issues with NFSWizard crashing whenever I open bnk files due to not having the right sound card for the job. I will explain to you more in a PM about these sounds & speaking of sounds I could also rip other car sounds from the PS1 version for those who want to use them in the PC version of High Stakes.

Paul the BNK editor in NFS Wizard crashes on me due to no Sound Mapper.

Everyone version 2 of my remake of EA's default Caprice is finished at least now it has the proper light bar, lighting pattern similar to the original, and also to make it closer to the original the license plates were removed due to the original not having them. However the car that I showed here back in May on the other hand is called the customized version now that too is finished as well. What I mean by customized not tuned or riced up but rather it has the bucket seats, laptop, console, spotlights, partion, & the license plates retained from Nils' original traffic caprice replacement. Credits go to him for the original car & also the suggested use of the jet stream light bar to make it closer to the one EA had on the original Caprice & pursuit camaro.

I checked Nils it does because I noticed that the NFS HS Caprice the PC one had door moldings in the textures.

Everyone I'm proud to announce that we have our very first official NFS Police HQ Need for Speed III conversion. I successfully converted my NFS HS Caprices based on our PPV to NFS III and the PPVs the unmarked & Delaware State Police versions will follow. For NFS III I had to remove the interior colors due to the fact they don't work in NFS III same thing with the driver's hair color which I had remove as well and redo the colors to make that work. Like NFS HS the cars will all have transparent windows, accurate colors expect for the police cars, & working lights.

Yeah it is Nils it's a official GM color plus still trying to get the bugs out it before releasing it. Holden and the rebadged variants the Chevrolet Caprice including the PPV list it as such.

Looks good Louis but I think you forgot to blackout the WHOLE underside of the car as whatever is or isnt on the bottom is reflected.
Nils I'm surprised you missed that, slacking in your age there guy? Lol just kidding tongue.png

Also if it was me making the car I wouldn't have an interior. Only reason is that all of HP2's cars have black windows and no interior, and then this has clear windows AND an interior. I personally would scrap the interior and cut down on polies. Doing that would keep the consistency of the rest of the cars in the game. Just my two cents smile.png

Nils some of your cars were converted to NFS III in the past with drivers, interiors fused and oh the only bug I have is a graphic one with either the body if its on the bottom or the right rear wheel they are there but this is a graphic bug I'm trying to fix is there a way to fix this bug I will show what I mean I named the parts properly like they are suppose to be in NFS III though some NFS III cars have parts named like they are in NFS HS.

As for bugs, I was talking about "Heorn White". Look closely at your screenshot. There's a minor spelling mistake in the color's name.

And I have to admit I don't really get what the bug you describe actually does?

It's been a while but my 2000-2005 W-Body Impala base sedan for High Stakes is finished. Again the model is based on Serge's original 00-05 Impala 9C1/9C3 which Nils updated and I also made it into a 9C3 as well which my civilian model is based on. This car along with a 9C6 variant will be coming soon to Need for Speed: Most Wanted as traffic cars. For now here's the 00 base Impala sedan in High Stakes. The performance was also tweaked to match the base Impala's performance in specs too.

Here is my latest unmarked car for High Stakes a 2001 Chevrolet Impala 9C3 in the viv it comes with all 10 official exterior colors, 3 official interior colors, & our unofficial Yellow with the 3 interior official interior colors. If someone is going to make Unmarked 9C3's that will be me in the future the 9th generation models 06, 07, 08, 09, 10-11, 12-13 Impala 9C3 PPV/14-16 Impala Limited 9C3 PPV, the 99 Lumina 9C3 unmarked as well. I also used my civilian 2000 Impala base sedan to show it being pulled over by my new 01 Impala 9C3 of course.

Everyone soon we shall have dashes for our caprices for high stakes made possible by modifying the interiors from our hot pursuit 2 versions into dashes for high stakes with the polies under 4000 as you see in the picture below. Credits go to Nils for the interior for our Hot Pursuit 2 versions & me for the dash view for high stake conversion.

To Nils I have some good & bad news the bad news is about the Caprice PPV dashes well the speedometer needles are messed up in game play I was wondering if you know how to fix those & the good news is I finally I got your Corvette C5 Coupe into NFS III and in order for it to work I had to make LOD parts for the car since the lack of LOD parts are what caused some of the bugs with the Caprice & this car while in testing also to avoid the game crashing don't use this car as an opponent or in a full grid same goes with the pursuit models. As for the Pursuit models the PS1 Interceptor I have Police911 to thank for the original textures now the PS1 Interceptor is an addon & the Pursuit Corvette is a replacement for the default player version not the AI version due to it being too high poly for traffic. Credits also go to XenTek for the rims from his 97 Corvette that I modified to fit onto Nils' Corvette.

Thanks and oh as for the traffic police replacement versions I renamed the highest details to medium mostly since its just one set of LODs just to get the traffic versions working properly as long as they are no too many high poly player racer, police or other traffic cars in general. I used the original EA corvette for the shots of being pulled due to the fact the replacement I made with your vette would crash the game if I had them out at the same time. Also I converted your NFS HS police 96-97 CV to NFS III after modifying it to be closer to the original EA that same car will be made for NFS HS as well too plus I also made 2 versions one with the blue lightbar due to the fact the PC version had a blue lightbar with red & blue lights coming out it out same with the PS1 version but it had effects to show those colors off but my PS1 version has a proper red & blue lightbar. I also a version to replace the crappy Ford Falcons to show that the car really spawns at Atlantica & Aquatic in the PS1 version. BTW I also fixed the grille on your CV it does show up very well so I plan to also include a V2 of your 97 CV with this grille & also a 96-97 CVPI variant for the staff too.

No idea why the needles are not working - you're better off asking Freak-DS, he knows dash editing inside out.

When you sort it out - how much texture space is left on the dash's texture? I have got a higher res version of the gauges lying around. The way they are now they look worse than a stock HS dash. Rest looks better than I'd have expected except some z-sorting errors... dashes are weird in HS huh.png

Ok been a while everyone but here it is I have so far managed to redo Serge (Dodge Boy)'s 87-90 Caprice for NFS HS using the NFS HP2 remake that based on his 90 CHP Caprice last year as guide. Nils I used some of your textures & wheels for this car & oh speaking of wheels I will get you pictures of the Holden VE Commodore Series II rims for the Omega, SV6/SS & even the the Aussie police rims the Berlina rims you already made for me since they are the same as the 2011-2013 Caprice LTZ & Royale rims. The 9C1 will also come with rims too which will be sourced from your Crown Victorias & I might do 78-85 Impalas out of this base too along with the 1986 Caprice 9C1 like your 95-96 Caprice they will have the ODL with lights for the exterior too. The mirrors also come from the HP2 Caprice but modified with polies lowered for adaption for High Stakes.

I don't think my textures work well for the previous gen...

The corner lights like Paul already pointed out need to be split, plus there's hardly any dark gap visible on the real thing. Headlights' high and low beam are much more distinct on the real car than on these textures.

Bumper lights on the other hand have too much contrast and their corners should be much sharper, wouldn't hurt to properly intrude them, either.

As reference: https://public.fotki.com/UncleDougie/1990-caprice-9c1-ex-mshp/1990-mshp-caprice-003.html#media

Taillights look a bit tall IMO. Rear side marker needs to be much taller...
https://public.fotki.com/UncleDougie/1990-caprice-9c1-ex-mshp/1990-mshp-caprice-004.html#media

Hubcaps' black center should be smoother, bowtie on them probably darker, hard to see on photos IIRC.

All in all I hope I take your time in upgrading this classic base instead of just pasting my (kinda old anyway) textures onto it wink.png

As for the wheel covers on the 3rd gen model they say Caprice on them so they are meant to be that way they don't have the bowties they didn't get those until 1993 these same ones were also on the 91-92 Caprices too. Oh as for the Holden wheels I will send you the pics of them. I added a new picture with the lights fixed and lights I didn't just paste your textures I also made some new ones too I only modified the light & wheel textures only. And as for the foglamps I did that to recreate the way Serge did it but I guess it was wrong. Should the yellow/amber go on the foglamps or no please let me know.

Come on tongue.png Unlike me, you have seen this car in real life, haven't you?

The bumper lights are very off. Their edges need to be much more... edgy, the lights as a whole need to be moved back into the bumper. About the texture. As far as I can tell by pics, the amber area is about half as big as yours is currently and it only looks amber if directly hit by quite some light. So, cut the amber area in half, desaturate it and make it brighter so it's almost as white as the rest of the texture.

The lettering on the hubcaps... is it in italics? If not, make it a simple rectangle. And darken it.

Main headlight textures are mirrored now? That's not what high and low beam look like. On any car. Anywhere. Almost looks like the car is cross-eyed.

Posted by: CVPI19 Jul 3 2015, 08:11 PM
Nils & everyone here is what I did I not only did what you told to do & get rid of the rounded parts of the foglamps I also redid both the front & rear bumpers, and parts of the rear between the trunk & taillights because of the fact the chrome around them was inaccurate that was the way Serge originally made the car so I used my NFS HP2 as a guide to help me remake the bumpers & part of the rear as well too. I also made a rectangle plus darken it on the wheel covers/hubcaps too fixed up the side of the lights in the front as well too.

Did you take the hood ornament from the HP2 model? Looks so detailed.

Are the taillights just plain red?

No I didn't take the HP2 hood ornament I made this low poly version from scratch I don't want to get over board here on details. I did what you said & built the foglamps into the front bumper like you suggested to do. Other wise Nils thanks once this car is done I will make it for NFS III as well since its in that game as a taxi cab in both versions and a police car in the ps1 version. I plan to remake the PC and PS1 NFS III & PS1 NFS HS cabs as well as the Hometown police caprice too. What shade of red of do you suggest for the taillights Nils please do tell me the color.

Good job with the hood ornament smile.png

As for the rest... have you looked at the reference pic I linked? What you did with the bumper lights changes nothing about their appearance in-game. They need to be moved back as they're behind the bumper's outer surface. The way they're modelled now they still look like NASCAR stickers wink.png

And the taillights - how about a proper texture instead of just plain red? You didn't make the headlights plain white, so why red-only taillights?

huh.png He can't push them in too far Nils or they'll disappear when the car is at certain angles, I've had that problem when using 3D door decals before..I had to pop them out just a tad bit or at some angles they disappear.

Well Nils after reading your reply I fixed the lights texture, & foglamp issues I painted the unlit parts dull white including the reverse lights, bright white for when they are lit, took a part of the taillight texture from the original version of Serge's 87-90 NFS HS Caprice & modified to fit over the plain dull red squares, and last but not built the foglamps into the bumper. Also I took the modeled Chevrolet & Caprice nameplates from the HP2 Caprice since they were not high poly but got rid of the borders around them to make them less high poly due to the fact I was running out of texture space on the textures forcing me to scrap the textured versions, & to move some of the other textures on it a bit.

The last part of this is the interior which I'm still doing textures for including the ODL textures.

Well Paul I actually went back & took the headlight texture from the original version of Serge's NFS HS Caprice as well as fixed the sides & reverse lights too. Plus the interior is almost finished still got textures for it to make as well as the interior when lit textures, then masking, and oh of course the driver then the 86 model finally these will be released as bases. For the interior I did take the front seat from Nils' 96 Caprice & modified it to fit into my new interior which you see in there but its not finish yet though. Also the interior's brake light is taken from the Hot Pursuit 2 Caprice like some of the other parts that I used in this project.

I am still not sure about the bumper lights but overall the frontend looks pretty Caprice-ish now so I am going to stop being a pain in the neck ^^

I actually redid the interior as you see here & its finally finished along with the cars themselves. As for the steel rims Nils I took & modified the ones from your 97 Crown Victoria police car by making the center a bit smaller to make it closer to the impala/caprice center cap from 77-92. As for the logo on the 86 Caprice I used the one from the NFS HP2 version & modified it to fit onto the NFS HS version. The final poly count for both cars are with either set of wheels its 3169 not bad huh?

Nice! Just the steering wheel looks pretty rough. Add sixteen polygons and you get a really nice one which even needs less texture space.

Everyone been a while here's what I have been working on lately NFS HS B-Body 4th generation Caprices based on Nils' 96 Caprice I have made them into 9C1s as well as made 91-92, 93 & 94 sedans, the 91-95 1A2 wagons, & the 7th generation 94-96 Impala SS & its middle eastern counterpart the 1996 Caprice SS. As for the Caprice SS its the same as the 1996 Impala SS the only difference is the lettering on the rear fenders on each side & the dashboard saying Caprice SS on it instead of Impala SS. Credits go to Nils for the original 1996 Caprice, the disc brakes, parts of the roof from his Tahoe PPV which I modified for the wagon's luggage rack on the roof, the wheels from the WM Caprice V/SS/WN Caprice base/2014 Caprice Royale rim which I modified & rescaled to be the size of the real SS' rim, and DMN from gaming models for extracting the Impala SS from Forza Motorsport 4 which is the spoiler & center of the rim comes from. I did the Caprices since we were missing 91-94 models as well as the Wagons plus we don't have 94-96 Impala SS' for the civilian section. I also include the differences for the model years for each car as well too. The interior for the 1996 Impala SS & Caprice SS has a console with floor shifter & different speedo unlike the 94-96 Caprice. The 91-93 Caprices have different dashboards which I had also make too. Some of these pictures were w.i.p. and have cchanged after they were taken like the 91-92 Caprice tail lights had been fixed just showing off what I built mostly.

Ok with the Impala SS temperarly halted I thought I do the 1st generation 92-97 Crown Victorias based on Nils' 97 Crown Victoria I also included improvements to the 96-97 model as well as differences for 95 with the interior included. The improvements for the front bumper on the 95-97 CV include missing slots for the grille which I had to redo completely, even the vents had missing details including the one below the grille, & even the one on the lower end of the bumper. The 1995 Crown Victoria along with 92 & 93-94 all have the Crown Victoria nameplate on the front fenders above the moldings while 96-97 does not. Credits go to Nils aka XJ220 for the original model & Nils speaking of Crown Vics let me know when you get around to improving the 98-11 2nd generation models. All that's left on the 93-94 models are the interior which will take a bit of redoing mesh & texture wise.

Nice wink.png

Just one thing: the ends of the rear lights on the early ones were a bit more angled towards the middle, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Crown_Victoria#/media/File:1994_ford_crown_victoria.jpeg.

Also, what's the difference between the '95 and '96 models, apart from the wheels?

Max the 95 through 97 models had different grilles, different rear ends the license plate holder in the trunk while on the 92 through 94 models it had built into the rear bumper, not to mention the 95 models like 92-94 have the crown victoria badges above the moldings, same steering wheel as the 1990-1991 LTD CV, while 1992 also had no grille at all & 93-94 also had a reflector strip too.

Posted by: BrabusAMG Feb 18 2016, 01:39 AM
I know that; what I meant was, you have two versions of the 95 - 97 (post-facelift) CV; a '95 and a '96/'97 version. Both look identical, so I wondered about the differences between them. At the moment it looks like they just have different wheels. I think I've figured it out now, anyway. The '95 has a small badge on the side like the '93/'94, plus (I think) a slightly different interior.

I'm certainly looking forward to having a low-poly pre-facelift CV to work with! biggrin.png

Interesting project! Like Max said, the older taillights could use some tweaking. They look like those of the Taurus right now wink.png

Also, I think the vertical struts in the bumper grille of the late model years are much too wide and bright. They're almost invisible because there's too much shadow in that area, that's why I omitted them originally. I'd darken those of the grille below the headlights, too (their width seems perfect!).

Well Nils I will even do you better in regards to the struts in the bumper because after I read your post & redid the texture and it turned out to be crappy so instead I made 3D ones & those came out much better than the textured ones. On top of that both Paul & Chris suggested that I add lines to the cars which I did and they have been added too. As for the tail lights on the 92 through 94 CV well after you told me I began fixing them with this newly rebuilt body what do you think so far I even made the grille for it too not to worry the car is still low poly.

The new grilles look great, good job, Louis!

As for the reflective stripe, I'd try to make the central reflector as wide as the others wink.png

Looking at the reference pics Max posted, the inner boundary of the taillights needs to be angled much more, about 45°. I also think, though this is much harder to tell, that the reverse lights should be almost twice as long.

Also, looking at the same pic - is it possible that the license plate holder should be open at the bottom?

Thanks Max & the answer is yes I actually do have the 92 model planned I got to fix up the body after what Nils pointed out & as for the 93-94 CV with the grille the body is 2386 polies the car should work fine in High Stakes.

Yep & oh after what you & Nils pointed out to me I fixed the reverse lights & the rear bumper on the car & this is how it came out. Oh Max after the editing of the rear & the bottom just for this new rear bumper now the body of the 93-94 CV is 2370 polies. All that's left is the interior for 92-94 with 92 & 93 getting bench seats while only 94 will have bucket seats. I have edit the interior mesh & do some retexturing here & there.

I also found a better reference picture for the rear end:

Posted by: XJ220 Feb 21 2016, 07:04 AM
By lines you mean the edge in the bumper which I textured and you modelled? Well, may be helpful depending on the scheme one wants to recreate, but it's a rather subtle detail IMO wink.png

Good thing you saw that the reverse lights are rhomboids (didn't notice that myself), but there's still some potential. I'll let a picture do the talking:

user posted image

Though I have to be honest and say that the taillight texture I did is over-simplified thus making the lights look taller than it should...

Posted by: BrabusAMG Feb 21 2016, 02:29 PM
Subtle, yes, but for someone like me, the lines would make texturing much simpler.

I'm amazed that the polycount is so low. I just checked the original: 2725; and that's after I removed a piece of side trim.

I was going to do a picture myself, but Nils beat me to it tongue.png , which is fine because he noticed more than I did wink.png .

Posted by: CVPI19 Feb 21 2016, 10:00 PM
Ok Max & Nils how are the rear lights, reflector texture, & rear bumper license plate holder now I went back & made these changes. Now I'm focused on getting the interior for 1992-1994 just right oh about the exterior I also made a badge to match the 92-94 models since its different from the one used on the 95-97 models I did my best to even make it close enough. Well Max Nils was the one who originally made the car to begin with & I have a question for him why weren't lines added to it originally since Paul pointed this out.

Simple. To reduce its polycount. Like everything in the model was done the way it was done to keep it low.

Rear end looks a whole freaking lot better now! I still see something tongue.png The reflector stripe should have five reflectors in it, not seven. The "narrower" annotation was aiming at the central reflector only wink.png

Also, I attached an updated texture for my original CV I did a while ago. Tail and reverse light textures may be useful.

This will work very nicely with my updated version of Nils's JetStream, which is also in progress. The first livery will probably be Chicago Police, because I remember the cars and lightbars from a TV series called Early Edition. It will be nice to have several variants of the 1st-gen CV to work with.

The light textures are much better. The lower two thirds of the rear lights could be straighter I guess, but I think that would ruin the look a bit.

I take it the '95 - '97 will use the same rear light textures?

But here it is at last the 2006 9th generation Chevrolet Impala LS with the center of wheel cover the lowest LOD, LS badge, & antenna from Driver: San Francisco thanks to DMN from Gaming Models who I credit for these parts, Dodge Boy for the original model, & Nils for lowering the polies on it to make it work in NFS HS.

Cool biggrin.png .  What's the poly count?

Max the Impala LS is 4914 polies and I did do some minor changes after this pic was taken I redid the center of the rims to which resulted in the current count I also made the bowtie texture gold in the center too, redid the b & c pillars, the window mold on the windshield, & also modified the rear since it doesn't have those slopes for the dual exhausts since I seen a real one tonight as I was on my way home from my month scuba diving club meeting & took notice of that detail I will show another pic soon.

Posted by: CVPI19 Mar 9 2016, 04:07 PM
Ok everyone here is the revision that I made to the Impala LS which now has more lines for the B & C pillars & even new 3D b pillars too. These upgrades also effect the 9C1 & 9C3 models we have here too since I added these improvements to make the cars even better. All that's left on the LS is the damaged model for the car itself, vidwalls, porting, colors, & testing though HS isn't installed on my machine at the moment and then back to my pet project the Caprice PPV & civilian models for Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

Thanks Nils and speaking of other W-Body Impalas I plan to one day do the 2000 Impala LS & the 2006 Impala SS. Since the 2000 Impala LS wasn't the base model as it is in the 9th & 10th generations and the 2006 Impala SS along with the Monte Carlo SS were the only W-Body cars with V8 engines before the Monte Carlo was discontinued in 2008 then the Impala SS was discontinued in 2009.

Nice wink.png . I plan on doing a couple of Impalas one day, so these will be useful.

Are you planning to re-make Dodge Boy's Ford LTDs too?

By the way, I could probably do with a guide on how to make damage for my cars. None of my cars so far have damage, not even the bases that had damage before I used them.

Max about the LTD/S/LTD CVs not at the moment I still want to get back to my Holden/Chevrolet Caprice for Most Wanted. As for the damage well Nils and I can tell you this you need to copy the body and rename it :HB[D], & then move the verts around to make damage for cars. One more thing the newer 9C1s & 9C3s are up in the staff forum but I'm not removing the older ones since people can make traffic police cars out of them like Paul does.

Ok here are my latest the work in progress for the 97-99 Tahoe Z56 Police Package model aka the 1st generation Tahoe PPV & the civilian 95-99 Tahoe which were also used as police vehicles before the Z56 was built and of course the it turns out that the special service Tahoe the 5W4 variant didn't come out until the 2nd generation model. The 1st generation Tahoe of course is just the SWB variant of the 8th generation Suburban which was also sold as a GMC variant & even exported to Australia & New Zealand as the Holden Suburban which this variant used the top section headlights from the previous generation & and a enlarged version of the S-10 Blazer in RHD form instead of the one that the American Tahoe & Suburban used. Even the 2 door Tahoe from the 1st generation was also used as a police vehicle too now the Z56 had 2 variants one with the rear barn doors & with a lift gate. In regards to the Tahoe I completed the wheels but have to finish the textures for it, & my other project is a car that I remade after losing it last year the police 95-96 Caprice from the PS1 version of Need for Speed High Stakes. Oh credits go to Mike Knuckey for the original model, Nils for the wheel portion of the rims & the original V5 95-96 Caprice base which I updated back in November. One more thing this w.i.p. pic of the Tahoe was taken last week and has changed since I will post updated pictures later. Oh Nils if you are reading this post just to let you know that yes the PS1 police caprice had the door moldings as they were part of the car's textures. I also fixed the lightbar by copying and fusing the glass to emulate the style that you do when you make lightbars.

The PS1 Caprice always looked better than the PC version.

The Tahoe looks great so far! I had been wanting a newer Tahoe base; I bet it would look great in Pennsylvania State Police livery. If it's low-poly enough I could also make SUV replacements out of it. I don't think I've ever seen a Holden Suburban (I guess there'd be more in Australia and the North Island), but I've seen plenty of RHD Chevs and a lot of LHD ones (including the GMC).

Thanks Max I used the actual textures from the PlayStation game itself I used PSicture to get the textures from the files for the Caprice itself but the cop driver is the default corvette cop from EA's pursuit corvette which I modified to look like the PS1 cop driver from the game his textures were drawn from scratch. All that's left is the damage, then export to NFS HS for testing and I even extracted the Caprice vidwall from the PlayStation game too. As for info on the Holden version of the Chevrolet Suburban they would be rare since the Suburban didn't sell very well in Australia or New Zealand similar to how the 3rd generation Ford Taurus the 1996-1999 models didn't sell very well in those territories. As for the Tahoe is this model is the 1st generation model from the 1990s just to let you know.

Nils its suppose to be that way since its how appears in the actual game since the fact these are the actual textures from the PlayStation game itself. One day I will get around to remaking the PlayStation High Stakes American Corvette C5 police car using your C5 Corvette Coupe, as well as redoing those Porsche 993 911 Turbo police cars, as for the BMW M5's, & even the Diablo SV's those would likely have to be sourced from Forza Motorsport 4 but with LOD 4 & LOD 3's rims modified since those would have to used in High Stakes. Once released the car at the car selection screen will be called CAPRICE just like it is in the PlayStation version and a Class B car due to the fact that the Caprice in that game only chased the BMW Z3, the 4th generation Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6, & the 4th generation Chevrolet Camaro Z28 but also chased the HSV GTS VT and the Ford Falcon XR8 in the Australian & New Zealand editions on PlayStation.

By "newer" I meant a Tahoe like this one that wasn't textured the old way, like the one that you're modifying right now (currently in the Member base section).

I used to see lots of 3rd-gen Taurus sedans and wagons. Are you sure that they didn't sell well here? If that is the case, it's easy to understand; that Taurus is easily one of the ugliest cars ever sold here. As for the Suburban, it will have been far too long for our roads (and parking spaces), which would be why more Tahoes are seen down here (although even those are fairly rare).

By the way, aren't the Firebird, Camaro, XR8 and HSV in Class A in the PS1 version?

My bad I didn't understand what you meant at first and no Max they aren't but the Corvette and 550 are in the same class on PlayStation which would AA along with the Diablo SV, F50, and 993 911 turbo while the M5, XKR, and DB7 are all part of the same class.

Everyone before returning to the Tahoe, PS1 & PC Caprice remakes, the MW Caprices, & maybe even making the 77-85 Impala which Paul keeps bugging me about lol! I decided to finish the Impala SS' & scrap the upgraded variants since they are too much. In addition to the 94, 95, & 96 Impala SS' and the 96 Caprice SS I also decided to do the 1992 concept car variant which the exterior is identical to the 94 model but instead of the chevy bowtie with white it has red, & the interior from the 1991-1993 Caprice.

Funny, I was just thinking about the '85 Impala. Finish your WIP cars first, though wink.png.

Anyway, the '90s Impala looks great; believe it or not there is one for sale in Auckland on Trade Me (NZ uses that instead of ebay); yours for only $14000 laugh.png.

You should check out the American cars on Trade Me Motors; some of them would make Americans envious, while the prices will make you laugh.

In addition to the Hot Pursuit 2 versions I was also motivated to redo the High Stakes version of the 88-91 LTD Crown Victoria also made by Dodge Boy but it will be a while before I finish these since I will be away for a week. But for now here's the body for 1988-1989 & 1990 LTD Crown Victoria enjoy all that's left are the interiors for 88-89 & 90-91. Like with Hot Pursuit 2 83-87 will follow down the road & since the 79-82 LTD & LTD S was never made for High Stakes they will also come as well in addition to their Hot Pursuit 2 counterparts.

One of my latest for High Stakes that I worked on a while back inspired by EA's crappy Pursuit Corvette the pursuit C5 convertible. Unlike the original it will not have skins for Germany, France, or the UK since the car is an American vehicle like the C5 coupe in the PS1 version is only for American police. I thank Nils for his original 1998 Corvette C5 Convertible. I even took the interior lights from Nils' Caprice Slicktop pursuit plus added the interior equipment from the corvette dash to match the dash that I modified. I even went as far as to use the fog lamps as cop lights blue on the right & red on the left. This oddball cop car is now available for downloading everyone.

In addition to finishing my C5 Convertible cop car I also have finished V3 of the PC Traffic Caprice remake by adding actual textures from the original traffic car, & also finished the Playstation Caprice too a while back I corrected the light bar to make it closer to the original one from the game. I used our updated Caprices based on Nils' 1996 Caprice that he made 10 years ago. These cars will be released on Monday since Chris wants to release a car himself.

Thanks Max and oh I also worked on this a while back too also like the Caprice I also ripped the textures for Police C5 Corvette from the Playstation version. Credits go to Nils for his Corvette Coupe, Xentek again for part of his rim from his 97 Corvette C5 Coupe, & EA for the textures and vidwall even though most of the car vidwalls in the PC version are the same as in the Playstation version I thought I also port those vidwalls over to the PC version too. All that's left is damage, testing, & then release of this classic NFS favorite.

Hello Louis! After checking out this thread, I'm wondering - are these late 80's Caprices ('86 and '87-90) and LTDs, aswell as early 90's CVs (1992, 93-94) and Caprices (1991-1992 especially) available for download anywhere? I had got Lumina and range of 90's Impalas, but never seen Caprices and Victorias available as civilian unmarked vehicles anywhere.
Thanks!

I could make then into civilian versions if you want wink.png.

Nice G8! I can advise you on the LAPD lightbar flash pattern if you like, since I've seen videos of the real cars.

Also, I noticed that the only major differences between the VE Commodore and the G8 are the bonnet and front bumper/fascia. So if you have free time after your MW Caprices and other things, it should be a nice short modification (but not "easy" enough for me do, I'm afraid).

Max a civilian version of the GT is also coming and I also been updating the 09 G8 GXPs which is the G8 GT is based on converted from Forza Motorsport 4. As for Commodores that are made out of this car well I'm only doing the Series II models sedan, UTE, and wagons plus the Lumina from the Middle East and the Omega from Brazil.

Everyone the LAPD G8 GT is finished plus it has a showcase to go with it too. This car will be released after I finish the civilian G8 GT plus the G8 GXP & its pursuit counterparts marked and undercover are getting updated too. The new revision of the G8 GXP will include a showcase the G8 GT will also have a showcase too. The LAPD G8 has 15 slides for its showcase to show the different pictures I used just for this car alone from the web.

I'm taking a break at the moment from the MW Caprice project to focus on personal things in my life as well to focus on fixing the G8's and even to replace EA's crappy Camaros which the civilian models will be 1998 Z28 with the T-Top Coupe as the replacement for the racer and bonus racer versions, a normal coupe as the base as a replacement for the Pursuit Camaro, a addon convertible for both the racers & cops for the public & lastly 98-02 Camaro B4C Special Service police models that will be for staff to make police Camaros out of. All Camaros expect for the bonus one will be B Class since it clearing doesn't belong in the same class as the Corvette even if they share & use the same engine as the C5 Corvette as the Corvette is more powerful than the Camaro. The coupes will have a modified version of EA's Camaro dash. The T-Top coupe & convertibles will have upgrades with upgrades 2 & 3 as well as the bonus Camaro their body kits will be inspired by both the Camaro RS & SS like in the Playstation version. Oh the model is sourced from Forza Motorsport 4's 2002 Camaro SS 35th Anniversary Edition credits go to DMN over at Game Models for extracting the model and its textures, and XJ220 (Nils) for the rims, interior, driver, other textures from his unreleased 1997 Camaro Z28 based on the F-Body Faction's 1997 Camaro. Oh 1999 through 2002 B4C's have colored mirrors, while 2000-2002 have the same steering wheel as the Firebird, & Lumina while they use new rims made for the Base & Z28 models between 2000 & 2002.

Coming soon to NFS HS & NFS Police HQ I present a great from the Land Down Under the "Chevrolet SS" sedan based on the Holden VF Commodore SSV straight from Forza Horizon 3 and the 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor which came as part of a DLC pack. Credits go to DMN from Game Models for extracting the models from the PC version of Forza Horzion 3, the people who created 3DSimi, & Oleg for creating Zmodeler 1 & 2. The Crown Victoria will be used by Staff for making 98-11 Crown Victorias for High Stakes.

Awesome biggrin.png! I'm already thinking about the mods I could make from that VF!

Also, as a heads-up; I am already working on a 98 - 11 CVPI base. The body is almost finished; I just need to fit the interior. It's an update of Dodge Boy's base and will include radar and console equipment with ODL wink.png.

Max trust me you might want to rethink that idea with the Crown Victoria as this one from Forza Horizon is going to be much better than what Serge aka Dodge Boy made a decade ago. As for the SS as VF Commodores well that will come down the road as I still have to do VE II Commodores based on the G8, convert the HSV W427, & GTS E-Series III from Forza Motorsport 4, the HSV GTS Gen-F, & Maloo GTS Gen-F II from Forza Horizon 3. Plus there's also the Lamborghini LM002 which I plan to modify into a remake the police LM002 from Need for Speed III on PlayStation for NFS III on PC & High Stakes to replace the SUVs.

Okay, I'll wait and see what the finished FH3 conversion will look like wink.png. I'll do more work on the Dodge Diplomat then.

I looks like you have a lot in your project queue! ohmy.png

By the way, I've also thought about doing the 77 - 85 Impala myself, to save you work happy.png.

That would be great wink.png might I suggest using Frank's base since the hard work is done,All needs done on it is adding built in body lines to make making police cars easier.

BTW how far did you get editing those cars I sent you a long time ago, I'm curious, I might have found a good BMW M5 F10 base if it's not insanely high poly,The game can handel them now thanks to the Veg patch but there was no such patch for the old modding tools, They still can crash on insanely high poly stuff I found out.

I don't have the right programmes to open those BMWs, I'm afraid.

You can also get the F10 M10 from Forza 4 and use their corresponding LOD4/3 meshes.

I was about to suggest that to him Ariel the M5 F10 can also be extracted from Forza Horizon/2/3 but from FH3 is a different method that I'm used for the SS and currently using for other vehicles that I need from that game.

I had a look at your Camaro remake, It don't have much room on the TGA for police schemes unfortunatly besides the EA scheme.

Posted by: BrabusAMG May 22 2017, 07:50 PM
Really? I looked at it too and I think it has a lot of space; especially compared to the Charger.

By the way, Louis, I think it would be a good idea to keep the nudge-bar on the CVPI and make it an optional part wink.png. Also, I can send you the wheels I compiled; since I have all CVPI wheel types (except one) in a file, all modified from wheels that Nils made. I also have the complete texture file I made for the car. It includes radar/dash equipment (with ODL) and space for a plate.

Sounds like a good idea Max and oh Paul opened up my replacement pursuit Camaro instead of the B4Cs which I released to the staff the textures on them have plenty of space for markings, etc.

I emailed you my WIP files in case there's anything you can use wink.png.

And yes, the B4Cs have quite a lot of texture space.

That is easy to do, If you want to keep a part on the body but make it as optional, Simply make the data on the car CONVERTIBLE in NFS Wizard and name the part or parts you want as optional : OT smile.png.

I'm doing this with my redid better Hazzard County Sheriff 1978 Plymouth Fury and Dodge Monaco, The optional part being Flash but it also rolls down the side windows in front (since I'm using Frank's car).

Max if you are reading this you got the names of the wheel options wrong like the first wheel covers were used from 98-02, while the second ones were used from 03-05 as for the steel rims the first set were on 98 and early 99 models, while the second ones were used on later 99 through 02, I had to make 03 through early 04, the other ones were used from late 04 through 05. Oh the center caps for the 98 through 99 rims' center caps I made a texture for the center of it. Oh I modified the 98-02 wheel covers into 06-11 wheel covers speaking of the 98-02 wheel covers the wheel textures that were used weren't the correct ones that's for the 88-91 LTD CVs & 92-97 CVs I was able to get the original one from the original version of Nils' 97 CV since it was from his Iowa State Patrol 98 CV.

Here's my progress on the 2nd generation Crown Victoria and oh Max I decided not to keep that pushbar my reasons include the fact that staff can add their own same goes with spotlights even the idea of radar equipment is a bad idea as I think for the same reason with the pushbar that staff can add their own equipment to the interior as they please.

No worries; I understand your reasons. I have a collection of parts that are not yet available on the forum; I could upload them separately. I've modified most of them to bring them up to current standards.

Also, the '06 wheel covers could be modified from the HP2 versions; I could do that if you like.

Max the wheel covers from HP2 are too high poly I modified the 98-02 wheel covers just to keep the poly count down. I will post more pictures of the progress on the car tomorrow I will also add the driver, interior which will be modified for the model years, and I think I will also make a civilian version of the 1998 P73 base sedan too.

Why don't you convert the Chevrolet SS, & Crown Victoria from Forza Horizon 3 to Most Wanted as police cars especially the SS would do great replacing the GTOs while the Crown Vics would replace the Civic Cruisers.

Converting from Forza Horizon 3 is too hard and I'm still not able to do and second is my computer is old and can't run some programs. There are interested cars in FH3 I love to convert, but unfortunately I have to buy a high-performance PC, because that one can't. dry.png

Posted by: BrabusAMG Jun 8 2017, 06:36 PM
The reason we have a CVPI base is because there was no complete base available in the staff area (no idea why). This FH3 conversion is reasonably low-poly for a modern car.

Police911 made a Taurus and an Explorer, but they need a bit of work to be more user-friendly (and lower-poly). I'm going to do that sometime. I also got a few cars from Most Wanted 2012 that I'll modify into bases.

Posted by: NFS Police Force Jun 9 2017, 08:56 AM
If you can get those car open I can convert them . The 2016 Charger seams like a better base then the one I made for nfshs . If you need anything converted let me know .I just need stuff open . wink.png

We needed new 98-11 2nd generation Crown Victorias David was the fact the one made by XJ220 wasn't accurate, plus Serge's Crown Victorias were showing signs of aging so it was best that I modified and converted the one from Forza Horizon 3 especially model years that were missing. Serge's Taurus and Explorer need to be modified to work in High Stakes.

I am working on 4 traffic vehicles and 1 player vehicle from MW2012. I noticed that the traffic vehicles had 5 LODs, but the player vehicle had only 3. The problem is, the player vehicle's first LOD is far too high-poly, but the 2 others are too low. FH3 might have a better version. It's a Lamborghini Countach, in case you were wondering.

Posted by: MNaeemi777 Jun 12 2017, 07:27 AM
Forza is better. I saw all ripped models of MW 2012 and all their parts are attached with together. Also, they have too more textures and you can't understand what textures you should use. Forza cars have lesser textures and deattached parts, but it may take your time.

Posted by: BrabusAMG Jun 13 2017, 01:01 AM
I got the MW2012 version because it was in z3d format. There are quite a few Forza cars that I would get, but converting their formats looks a bit complicated.

Posted by: MNaeemi777 Jun 13 2017, 04:38 AM
I know. They are in .z3d and easy to convert, while Forza isn't and takes more time. Look, I'm just gave you a suggestion. However, you can do, whatever you think is better. Hope you success! smile.png

Been a while since I posted here these are cars I made over the summer til now credit goes to Nils aka XJ220 for the original base models. They include remakes of the Atlantica PD CV from NFS III which comes out on Hometown and Country Woods in the PC versions of NFS III & HS and on PlayStation on Atlantica & Aquatica I also ported the cop from those tracks from NFS III to NFS HS, the Pursuit Corvette C5 & Porsche 993 911 Turbo, and even turned Nils' 98 New Beetle into a replacement for EA's Eagle Talon. I also made a new replacement for the police sedans for Hometown & Country Woods based on the scheme of Nils' traffic Caprice replacement in the form of a 97 Crown Victoria. As for the upgrades on the wheels for the Corvette the alpha channel will be changed to match the secondary color, and the inserts for the door handles on the Crown Victoria Police Sedan will also be fixed too and oh I did update Nils' 98 new beetle in the process too. Also Xentek gets credit for the center of the rims on my version of Nils' Corvette too. The upgrades on the Corvette are inspired by both the PlayStation & PC versions respectively

Looks like you've done a lot! You don't really notice how bad the originals are (by current standards) until you see them next to modern re-makes. I'm trying to replace all of the original HS cars eventually; even the traffic.

The remakes are looking nice, although I suggest coloring the upgraded Corvette and Bonus Porsche wheels gold or gun metal to make them look nicer.

Also the '03' decal on the Bonus Porsche looks stretched.

Similar to Most Wanted. Some of those race cars are not interesting and I see modders that they replace their cool cars with them. Personally, I don't like traffic cars, because their models are awful and have ugly colors and need to be replaced with new cars (Since we are in 2017), specially, police cars.

Nils did it like that Ariel so I'm basing it on his method and about the 03 well its my choice, Max thanks I have been overhauling the cars and I wanted to get rid of the Eagle Talon since its NFS III, the Land Rover since that's also NFS III which will be replaced my Tahoes when I finish those, and I will get around to doing the E39 M5s and the Diablo SVs racer & cops PC & Playstation same goes for the 993 911 Turbos too.

Nice idea happy.png. Are the Tahoes going to be based on the ones you made years ago (but didn't release)? By the way, I've also made a vehicle to replace the Discoveries: an RCMP Tahoe SSV. I made an off-road tyre texture for it, because the SSVs were 4WD (and most of them had off-road tyres, judging by photos). You can use it on your Tahoes if you want. The truck will be released soon.

In addition to the Tahoes, the MW Caprices, here are other cars that I will convert & modify from Forza Motorsport 4 to Need for Speed: High Stakes as these 6 do have counterparts in the game, I wish there was a good Ferrari 550, Aston Martin DB7, Jaguar XKR, HSV SV99/GTS VT, to even Ford Falcon XR8 BA I to use to replace the exisiting ones however there is the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR V Spec I I can make from the II model. For now enjoy these potential replacements to come in the future in High Stakes.

Just only the M5 & Diablo SV will have pursuit versions the others like the Firebird, F50, F1 GTR, & CLK GTR will not have pursuit counterparts I want my cars to be faithful to the original game with influences borrowed from the PlayStation version & Nils too.

That was MNaeemi, not me wink.png. Forza Horizon 3 has some replacement options; the Falcon GT 25th Anniversary and HSV GTS-R would be the closest equivalents. Have you thought about HP2's Ford TS50? That would be the closest you would get to HS's XR8 (which was an AU I, by the way).

Sorry Max oh the HSV GTS-R won't work because its not a VT I can modify the 2004 GTO from FM3 into a VT Commodore/HSV GTS VT/SV99. The TS50 from HP2 is a AU III not AU I the XR8 in HS is a AU I.

I know, but the difference is negligible. When I see an AU Falcon driving down the road, I don't think "that must be an AU I/II/III", because I can't really spot the difference.

As an example, my Mercedes is a post-facelift model but it has a pre-facelift front bumper; I didn't notice it until I had owned the car for about a year!

Besides, you can always make an AU III into a I or a II; the same way you made a 2011 CVPI into every model since 1998 wink.png.

Forza Horizon 3 has too many cars and their models are full-details, but converting from there is too hard, because:

-Model will lose all materials, after exporting.
-UV maps of the model is weird and must be fixed by yourself
-Most of textures are useless

A few cars I want to convert to MW and C are just FH3 has them. Forza Motorspeed 7 that released past week, its cars has same problem. Only Eclipse 72rus (aka Corvettez06) and YochiThMaster333 at NFSCars can convert from FH3. You need to be professional and patient.

Meanwhile, you can call me "Masih". wink.png

The new CVPI base for HS was converted from an FH3 model by Louis himself wink.png, but most of the textures he used were from XJ220's CVPI.

No problem, Max! wink.png
And yes, it's the best way. smile.png

By the way, Louis, TOCA Race Driver 3 has AU and BA Falcon models as well as VX, VY and VZ Commodore models. I happen to have TRD3 happy.png, so I can try to extract the models if you want. The models are V8 Supercars, so you could also make a replacement for the MHRT Commodore.

I don't know how many LODs the cars have, though. I guess I'll find out.

Due to flaws with the Lumina I discovered I decided to go back and fix the 9C3, & base models as well as making a police 9C3 with the scheme & setup of the Police Caprice from the game. Also the 99 Lumina now also includes a showcase to go with the car.

Nice! I should use this car more often. It's gotten me interested in the real one now happy.png.

Which font did you use for the '97 Crown Victoria Police Sedan on page 18? I'm working on a car that needs a similar font; similar to the one used by the Chicago Police.

By the way, you mentioned wishing for a good Jaguar XKR for an EA replacement. Nils made a good XKR; I've used it to replace EA's one on my old computer wink.png. I used his XJ R as the replacement on my newer computer.

Don't know it came from Nils' 96 Caprice traffic replacement and as for the XKR I could rip it from Hot Pursuit 2, modify it to have upgrades, as well as convert it into a Aston Martin DB7, and more Max.

I think Nils's version is better than the HP2 model:

It'll be lower-poly, too.

Nils did convert it from HP2 BTW Max.

Ah yes ... I forgot about that. I guess that means you don't have to, right?

By the way, I opened the TRD3 files I mentioned earlier. They have 5 LODs; the best one for HS conversion is LOD 2. All of the meshes have fewer than 2500 polies in LOD 2, but they have no detailed interiors in any LOD.

Here are 4 of the models:

PS: If you're wondering, the AU Falcon is just as ugly in real life! laugh.png

Everyone my plans are to upload my version of Nils(XJ220)'s Corvette C5s including the remake of EA's Pursuit Corvette, the replacement based on the Coupe version, my version of his C5 Convertible both the replacement Coupe & the Convertible will have the PS1 style upgrades, and lastly something I have been working on with Ariel (AJ_Lethal) a replica/remake of the 98 Indy Pace Car Corvette C5 Convertible first featured in NFS III which this car is for both games the High Stakes version is a addon while the NFS III version is a replacement for the original addon that came with the PC version of NFS III that was sold at Walmart.

Here's a variant of the Corvette C5 that was never ever made for High Stakes the 1999 hardtop coupe which 2 years later the hardtop coupe in the C5 line would become the C5 Z06 which I will also do too. I modified Nils' original C5 Convertible into the Hardtop variant.

In addition to the Corvette C5 Hardtop Coupe/Z06 I also decided we need a better version of the 13-18 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan based on the 6th Ford Taurus so I'm reducing the polies on Dodge Boy's model to make it work in High Stakes as a replacement for the one we have currently in the staff section.
