Oh I'm sorry! Yeah, last touch-up: replace "POL" "ICE" on the lid with "Empire Police" on the right and "2498" on the left side of the lid, then replace 'patrol' with "2498" and we are all set!

Thanks so much for your patience with my complicated design ideas! It's really appreciated and the squad car looks fantastic in game! biggrin.png

wink.png Glad you like it. I'm going to work on some projects now, I await Brabus's versions to see what they'll look like.

I re-made the Vector today (which took less time than I thought) and I have compiled my first concept of the ECPD car.

Now I don't want to "compete" with Paul's version; I'm just making a different one. I chose the 2011 CVPI and gave it hubcaps, a different nudge-bar, different deck lights and more interior fittings. I also gave it two spotlights instead of one.

Please note that I haven't done the texture mapping yet, so the light colours are not final. Also, this vehicle has only 4744 polygons. Surprised? So was I! laugh.png

All done now! I added the antennae as per the earlier request, so the car now has 4832 polygons.

I decided to make mine a highway patrol unit, to make it more distinct from Paul's. I kept the brake light and made all 7 Vector lights functional. That meant the deck lights could only be one colour each, so I made one red and the other orange. I chose orange instead of blue because several studies have proven that orange lights reduce the risk of getting hit while stopped. Driver safety is especially important for the highway patrol wink.png. If you don't like orange, I can make it blue if you want.

I also gave the car a real number plate. I chose New Jersey because their plates look like the ones Paul put on his car. I kept the numbering scheme that you suggested; this car has a higher number because it's a later model.

Oh by the way, the little diamonds on the model are the light "dummies". That's how Zmodeler displays them. Halfway through making these screenshots, I realised I had left them on rolleyes.gif.

Some cop cars of Hot Pursuit have same "Courtesy, Professional, Respect". By the way, the car is pretty. Good luck Max! smile.png

hmmm looks good! But could we keep the cars to standard patrol unit variations? If you're attached to HWY, you could make it an alternate?

I think that's what he's doing.

Right. But I'm trying to say that we could do like Generic/Fictional ---> Empire City Police ---> Your car, AMG's Standard Patrol Car (just switch out HWY for a PCT and #), and AMG's Empire City Police Highway Patrol Car.

That's what I was just thinking wink.png. Will do. I might change the orange deck light to blue for the PCT unit, so you can tell them apart at a distance.

Here are some screenshots of the HWY unit in-game:

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out happy.png.

By the way, I've already made the model for the Atlantica unit; do you have any preferences for that? Would you prefer standard patrol or highway/traffic?

Let's keep it standard patrol for now. I mean, it's perfect as is.

I give the current ECPD units... two thumbs up!

I couldn't help but notice you've scooted the badge over closer to the curves on the fender and I kept it on the straight part as ISP and Sparta police do with their's.

Yes, that's right. Due to the way the TGA was laid out, I couldn't get any closer to the doors without making the badge smaller. If I did that, it would lose detail.
