I decided to alter the badge to make it look better on the car. I also gave the car a damage model and split it into the two versions. Here's the highway patrol unit:

And here's the standard patrol unit:

As well as changing the orange light to blue, I removed the radar and changed the unit and plate numbers.

The HWY unit has 4832 polygons and the PCT unit has 4784.

Nice work! I REALLY like this edition: between being lower-poly and two editions to flesh out the fleet, this is a masterpiece of car editing! happy.png

biggrin.png Thanks! Using the PCT version to replace the traffic Caprice, the HWY version to replace the Diablo and Paul's version as the player's vehicle, you can have the complete ECPD fleet in a race. wink.png

The files have been uploaded. Now for the Atlantica unit!

Nice!
A couple of suggestion if we're doing two cars for Atlantica, but how about an Whelen Edge (replacing the vector from earlier) and a Whelen Liberty in blue-blue and coloured in: One retro, one modernized?

License Plate: Florida City Plates or Hawaii (HPD = Honolulu Police Department, switch to APD)

If at all possible could you put unit number 217 on the Liberty unit and on the trunk lid for air units to see, and 353 to the Edge unit? And make the deck lights both blue?

OK. I think I'll choose Florida, because I can make a plate from scratch instead of using a photo (and Florida has an Atlantic coast). wink.png

Here's the current progress. I'm undecided about the two stars on the back; I'm thinking of just making it a basic stripe instead. Let me know what you think. There was no texture space for flags of any kind, I'm afraid. I took a few styling cues from Honolulu PD and Atlanta PD as well as Chicago. Since front plates are not required in Florida, I decided to get creative with it, as some agencies do.

blink.gif ummmm that came out MUCH better than expected. that is gorgeous. You should be really proud of this, you got a gift for making these look pretty realistic.

To be fair the two badges on trunk are seen on Miami-Dade units:

So there's a real-life precedence.

Thaaat said, last edit - shove the unit number on the roof and we're all set!

Thanks for your work, I can't wait to reinstall High Stakes to roll these cars!!!
