And don't forget what was going on in the 1970's, These guys in Quebec couldn't seem to get enough lights, Montreal had 3 red and the Surete not to be outdone by a city police had this idea . 4 bulb gumball and 4 small red/blue strobe gumballs. -------------------- I'm 10-80..All units 10-0!

Yes, it was from Quebec. They also got the next-gen Caprice with a clear MX7000; again with all-blue lights. Police services there usually use different liveries from the rest of Canada (for obvious reasons); they use more blue in their liveries, sometimes even blue and green. Red stripes are quite rare.
I wondered why those beacons were so small. I forgot that strobe beacons were around back then. By the way, the posts in this thread can probably be attached to the end of this one, since the subject is pretty much the same. -------------------- |

Favorites should probably provide a smaller scope than generally 'cool' or unusual designs, I think.

We already have a thread about that. We might need to change its title, because it's currently a bit vague.

Here's a link.
The current title is just "About paint schemes, bland ones and the cool designs". It started after a car request became a discussion about cool and bland State Police liveries and it now has 12 pages. -------------------- |

But I like the vague title. At least I don't have to make another thread for whenever I want to brag about our firetrucks, or whine about the ambulances. -------------------- [ - MAINTAIN RIGHT - ] |

Considering the limited number of active threads we have around here, I suppose a vague title won't let you lose track of our discussions

Most people already know my favorite police vehicles, but..
Something U.S.,Canada,or elsewhere, simple and easy to do in NFS HighStakes mapping TGA wise. Soviet Militia and their GAI as well VolksPolizei Polizei Bulgaria People's Militia Bulgaria Modern Police Russia Modern Police Illinois State Police Missouri Highway Patrol California Highway Patrol Arkansas State Police (although their stripe is sometimes hard to do.) Alabama State Police (they keep it simple) Duquoin Metro Police (simple to the extreme, Even our new scheme which BTW is even more basic than the old design) Carbondale Police Old Surete Du Quebec Older Surete Du Quebec (1970's) Old RCMP Old Franklin County S.O. (as not enough images of the new design are out yet) Old Williamson County S.O. (keeping it simple) Old Zeigler Police (simple 5 or 6 point star and some stripes) French Police (simple design of 3 red/white/blue stripes) HongKong Police Maybe more..I have to look at schemes and see which is easy to create. -------------------- I'm 10-80..All units 10-0!

Wouldn't your list be shorter if you stated which departments you DON'T like?
