Hello my fellow NFS Coppers,

I've resurfaced as I used to follow Police Garage until they went under (sadly).

Anybody have any idea how to extract NFS audio files, particularly NFS 3: HP and NFS: High Stakes?

Sounds crazy, I loved NFS as a kid in 1998 and on, played it to death. Pretty sure it's what got me to become a cop. Anyway, I want to re-live those memories and extract the speech from those two games. --I want to place the speech files into GTA: 5.

It's been too long... need to be Unit 37 again.

Thanks in advance!! Any direction is helpful at this point.

Very respectfully,

Smokey

When it comes to engine sounds and sirens, the only way to edit the respective files is by using NFS Wizard which can edit EA's BNK format to some degree.

But I think I tried to open other sound files waaay back and it did not work. May be mistaken, though, as sound editing never played such a big role for me.

Anyhow, first idea would be to download & install NFS Wizard and explore your High Stakes CD wink.png

Welcome back .Yes Police Garage went under so did a lot of our cars . But Thank God slowman had almost all our files on back . I had a lot of stuff on back up but my hard drive got fried so I lost everything and P.I. closed now we got all of there stuff now thank's to Mike . As you can see we still have the Best Police Car Designer in Town . If you would like to change you name to Unit 37 you are welcome to .

You can import them as RAW in Audacity..But you have to toy with them to get them to sound just right in that..As for replacing the sounds with edited sounds, You can import new sirens or engine sounds into NFS Wizard and save them that way.But I don't know beyond that, I'm trying to find a way to edit the cop speech my self.

EA Games are trying to strengthen Origin it seems, so I doubt that's going to happen. Wish they treated old NFS a bit more like old CnC.

A long time ago I did open the speech they say when you're pulled over in Audacity by importing them as raw data but that was it,Couldn't open the radio speech,Also if modded I have no clue how you'd incert the modded speech to the radio files as NFs Wizard don't open them even though they are the same format as sirens (.BNK).
