Did anyone see the film whether it was in the theathers earlier this year, or when it came out on DVD this summer or on demand like with Xfinity, or FiOS? I seen it today on demand & loved it no cheesy CGI effects, real stunts with real cars, police chases, & even a ton of references to past NFS titles within in the movie. Like one of the references includes a appearance of the 2001-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06 which first appeared in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, & in Need for Speed: Underground Rivals, the 67 Camaro SS which appears in Motor City Online, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005), Carbon, ProStreet, Undercover, Shift, Shift 2: Unleashed, & World, as well as cars that also appear in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010), The Run, Most Wanted (2012), and Rivals as well. The movie's plot is a reference to Need for Speed: the Run itself where Jack goes from San Francisco to New York here its in reverse & doesn't involve a cross country race but rather a journey from New York to San Francisco. The main antagonist of the movie drives one of the cars that first appeared in the Xbox 360 & PS3 versions of Hot Pursuit (2010) as part of the Lamborghini Untamed DLC, the Ford Crown Victoria from the 1998-2011 range with wheels from the 1998-2002 range also appears as a police car for the Michigan State Police, the Nebraska State Trooper, & several for the California Highway Patrol, while the 2009-2010 Dodge Charger from the 2006-2010 range appears in markings for both the Michigan State Police, & California Highway Patrol, & the Chevrolet Tahoe appears only in California Highway Patrol markings for the game.

Did not see it yet... cinema was a bit too expensive for my taste and the German DVD release is in October.
So overall, you think it's good? I read that it may be a bit too long but still decent. And perhaps to extend this topic... did you see any other game-related movies like Max Payne or Hitman? (no Uwe Boll production! ) -------------------- |

No Nils this thread is about the NFS movie if we want to talk about other video game based movies let's do it in in the off topic forums. Oh the scene where they are in Detriot the Michigan State Trooper makes a reference to NFS titles where the cops say "In Pursuit of a (insert car)" which started with the PC version of NFS III. -------------------- NFS Police HQ Staff
