What do you guys think about the new Charger?
I liked on 2012MY that it was thorough redesign of already badass looking car. And while adding even more to its aggressive look, it also paid some tribute to 1999 concept car of the same name (which ineviably did the same to 1969 Charger Daytona). But I'm rather ambivalent about this new generation. At one hand it regained familiar silhouette of the previous one, on the other hand it combined it with more sleek and rounded design elements. As result, what I can see now is Charger with Impala front and Intrepid rear. -------------------- [ - MAINTAIN RIGHT - ] |

Believe it or not, but its front, esp. when seen from the side reminds of the Maserati Quattroporte V. The rear is okay as the Intrepid is at least a Dodge. Wonder what it looks like with the more distinct colored grille of non R/Ts?

The front reminds me of the Dodge Avenger sedan I wonder what will the base/police & SRT8 variants will look like with this facelift.

That front is trying too hard to look like Durango, because last Dodge sedan with such headlights I can think of, is good old Spirit.

I don't think they were aiming for the Durangos appearance. It'd need turning signals below the headlights for that.
Perhaps is just an eroded version of the previous Charger? -------------------- |

They are certainly trying to unify the look of Dodge vehicles, just like it became popular with other carmakers. Durango is just closest call. Another would be Dart, but Dart will always be more reminiscent of Neon to me.

Not too uncommon for carmakers to develop some kind of a brand-face. Though in several cases it's rather limited to some parts – like the BMW 'kidneys' grille. On the other hand the latest Octavia screams Audi...
The Dodge Dart looks like a wild mixture of a half a dozen other cars to me. -------------------- |

I actually prefer new Octavia look over that wild chinese facelift resembling old Nissan Almera at best.

I can agree on that as it looked nowhere as sweet as the original Octavia II or the first gen. These half facelifts which just alter the front of a car and not the back are not my cup of tea anyway. Same what happened with Vectra C and even SL R230.

MEOW!
Regaining the less friendly facade of the provious generation, and corresponding with the imagination of fans, Bad Cat is here. -------------------- [ - MAINTAIN RIGHT - ] |
