I guess this goes here, since we don't seem to have a help forum.
Anybody have an explanation as to why Zmod does this every time i drag to select something? Gets kind of annoying not seeing what your trying to select. It does it for everything BTW, not just the UV Mapper. Attached Image -------------------- |

This never happened to me..What is more common is the layout of display screws up and I have to rearrange everything back to place..OR sometimes when I go to fuse parts together it might not select them no matter the fact that SEL is pushed in, This sometimes happens after I have turned all parts off then clicked the 2 on I wished to fuse..But I fix that by reimporting the FCE and individually turning parts off til only the 2 I wanted to fuse together is on. Your issue might be a setting on it's direct 3D maybe? I must say though your issue never happened with me though ZModeler might sometimes crash or freeze and make me end it on my PC Task Manager. -------------------- I'm 10-80..All units 10-0!
Enjoying this car very much :D |

This never happened to me either, even though I am using 7x64.
When does this occur? Before or after assigning the UV mapping? I had a bit of trouble setting my oh-se-great Optimus system up to work with ZMod without killing my whole system but besides that... I guess you just have one graphics card? -------------------- |

Reinstalling didn't work.
It's not just the UV Map, ANY time you do something that uses the dot line... selecting verts, polys, even creating a new face it'll do it. And yeah one gfx card. -------------------- |

Have you tried the different option in "Options > 3D View > Select device..."? You should have the choice between like three rendering pipelines I think.

Yeah, tried that. Forcing software, compatibility mode... nothing helps it seems.

Perhaps you're forcing some settings globally via your graphics card's driver? But then again since software rendering does not help it's likely not gfx card related.
I can see the UAC icon in the taskbar, do you run ZMod with admin rights? -------------------- |

It always said "Error opening file for writing C:\blahblah\zmodeler.exe, So the only way i could ever get it to install right was to run the installer as administrator. -------------------- |

The installation places a file in C:\Windows, that's why it needs elevated rights.
But are you running ZMod itself with such rights, too? Probably one of the only differences between our systems that could make a difference here is that I disabled UAC since it's the most annoying POS ever. -------------------- |

I don't really do anything much that the UAC is all up in my face all the time, hence why i never turned it off. But i tried disabling it and installing Zmod again... Still no luck.

This is the info I got from Oleg at Zmolder. Create a shortcut to zmodeler.exe, then change its properties by toggling option: "Disable desktop composition" (or something like that, I don't remember exact name of this option/compatibility).
This should help If you need more help I posted on there message board . -------------------- NFS Police Force

Chris!
THAT'S AN UNFAIR SHORTCUT TO THE SOLUTION!!! j/k nice work Hope it works now. Interesting it's necessary to activate this option on some systems. Chief, do you have an AMD/AMD system? -------------------- |
